At the inaugaration of Quadro Gallery, we present the exhibition “Monuments of Autumn” – an unusual thematic selection of paintings of remarcable artists, such as: Nagy István, Aurel Ciupe, Szolnay Sándor, Tasso Marchini, Fülöp Antal Andor, Nagy Albert, Horia Bernea, Kancsura István and Adrian Aramă. The exhibition brings together true values of patrimony, masterpieces of modern Romanian and Hungarian art, as well as outstanding works of contemporary artists from Cluj, in a selection under the sign of pictorial value and spiritual content that connects these artists, beyond the chronological or geographical distance, and differences of style between them. The exhibition is called “Monuments of Autumn” because the works represent the artists’ meditation on life, at the passage of seasons. We conceive this exhibition as a manifesto of that level of quality and artistic values that our gallery wishes to promote.
